Course context for academic year 2021-22

The subject presents a series of fundamental concepts about scientific research and its methodology. It addresses aspects of research projects, publications and the presentation of research results in scientific discussion forums.

Transversal Competences

  • CTT14 : Capacidad para aplicar conocimientos avanzados de fotónica y optoelectrónica, así como electrónica de alta frecuencia.
  • CTT2 : Capacidad para desarrollar sistemas de radiocomunicaciones: diseño de antenas, equipos y subsistemas, modelado de canales, cálculo de enlaces y planificación.

 

Specific competences:>>Module of technological management of telecommunication projects.

  • CGTP1 : Capacidad para la integración de tecnologías y sistemas propios de la Ingeniería de Telecomunicación, con carácter generalista, y en contextos más amplios y multidisciplinares como por ejemplo en bioingeniería, conversión fotovoltaica, nanotecnología, telemedicina.

  • CI1 : Capacidad para realizar investigación aplicada tanto en el ámbito profesional como en el científico.

 

Competencias Básicas y Generales

  • O1 : Capacidad para proyectar, calcular y diseñar productos, procesos e instalaciones en todos los ámbitos de la ingeniería de telecomunicación.
  • O11 : Capacitat per a saber comunicar (de manera oral i escrita) les conclusions, els coneixements i les raons últimes que les sustenten a públics especialitzats i no especialitzats d'una manera clara i sense ambigüitats.
  • O12 : Tenir habilitats per a l'aprenentatge continuat, autodirigit i autònom.
  • O4 : Capacitat per al modelatge matemàtic, càlcul i simulació en centres tecnològics i d'enginyeria d'empresa, particularment en tasques d'investigació, desenvolupament i innovació en tots els àmbits relacionats amb l'enginyeria de telecomunicació i camps multidisciplinaris afins.
  • O6 : Capacitat per a la direcció general, direcció tècnica i direcció de projectes d'investigació, desenvolupament i innovació, en empreses i centres tecnològics.

To know the general methodology for the preparation of scientific research works. Get an overview of the stages to follow in the development and development of a research project. Know the steps of the process of publishing articles in scientific journals. To carry out one scientific communication and defend it publicly. Assess the importance of communicating results in scientific discussion forums. Analyze the general methodology for preparing reports and doctoral thesis.
