Course context for academic year 2019-20

This is an introductory course in Mathematics for Economics. The goal is familiarizing the students with a set of mathematical tools that are used frequently in economic analysis.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG4 : Capacity for teamwork.
  • CG5 : Capacity for self-learning.

  • CE2 : Capacity to understand how the technical problems faced by authors of research articles have been resolved in each case.

The course is designed with the main purpose of giving students a systematic grounding in Mathematics as an essential instrument for them to use economic modelling in their own research.
