Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2021-22

Con la asignatura de Salud Pública para el grado de Nutrición Humana y Dietética se pretende que el alumnado adquiera conocimientos y habilidades relacionadas con las competencias profesionales de la salud pública para proteger, promover, garantizar y restaurar la salud de las personas.

Por lo que los contenidos de la asignatura permitirán entre otras valorar las necesidades de salud de la población, es decir, comprender y medir los determinantes, las desigualdades y los problemas de salud relacionados con la dieta y la nutrición desde contextos sociales y políticos.

También permite comprender la importancia del desarrollo de políticas de salud y de nutrición y su contribución en respuestas sociales para mantener, proteger y promover la salud. Y por último algunos aspectos relacionados con la prestación de servicios sanitarios en consonancia los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de la ONU (2015), en el marco de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible.

Así mismo propende por la formación del trabajo en grupo y en equipos interdisciplinarios, desde que la salud pública en el ámbito de la nutrición y la seguridad alimentaria requiere de acciones de carácter intersectorial y multidisciplinario para el fortalecimiento del grado de control de los ciudadanos sobre su propia salud, alimentación y nutrición.

  • E12 : Communicate effectively, know how to use information and communication technologies, especially those associated with nutrition and habits.
  • E13 : Understand, evaluate critically and know how to use information sources related to nutrition, diet, lifestyles and health factors.
  • E14 : Capacity to write reports and complete records involved in the professional work of a Dietetist-Nutritionist.
  • E15 : Understand the essential elements of the profession of a Dietetist-Nutritionist and carry out one's profession respecting other health care professionals.
  • E29 : Develop the profession from a patient/user/client focused approach.

  • 52 : Understand national and international health care systems, as well as health care policies.
  • 53 : Participate in the analysis, planning, intervention and evaluation of epidemiological studies and diet and nutrition intervention programmes in different areas
  • 54 : Design and carry out nutritional assessments to identify the diet and nutrition needs of the population, as well as identifying the determining factors of nutritional health.
  • 55 : Design, intervene in and implement diet-nutrition education and diet-nutrition training programmes.
  • 56 : Collaborate with planning diet-nutrition policies for dietary-nutritional education of the general public.
  • 57 : Acquire the capacity to take part in promotion, prevention and protection programmes focused on the community and public health.
