Course context for academic year 2010-11

La asignatura "Geología Aplicada a la Ingeniería Civil" es una asignatura de formación básica de segundo semestre del grado en Ingeniería Civil.

 

Como asignatura de segundo semestre no es necesario ningún requisito para cursarla.

 

La asignatura se divide en teoría, prácticas de laboratorio y prácticas de campo. Todas estas actividades presenciales estan enfocados a dar al futuro graduado una formación cientifico-técnica básica que le permitirá desarrollar el resto de su titulación con las herramientas necesarias para entender procesos geológicos de gran importancia en la Ingeniería civil.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG-5 : Basic understanding of geology and soil morphology and their application in solving engineering problems. Climatology.

 

UA Basic Transversal Competences

  • CT-13 : Capacity to adopt the scientific method when planning and carrying out different academic and professional tasks.
  • CT-9 : Capacity for group work.

 

Basic Transversal Competences

  • CB-1 : Students should show they possess and understand knowledge in a field of study that continues from general secondary education and is usually found at a level which, although supported by advanced textbooks, also includes certain aspects that involve knowledge arising from the cutting edge of their field of study.
  • CB-2 : Students should know how to apply their knowledge to their job or vocation in a professional manner and should have those skills that are usually reflected when preparing and defending arguments and solving problems in their field of study.
  • CB-3 : Students should have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (normally within their field of study) to give opinions that include a reflection on important, social, scientific, ethical matters, etc.

Conocer los materiales y procesos que se suceden en la superficie/interior de la Tierra y afectan a las obras de ingeniería. Adquirir fundamentos del comportamiento de los materiales naturales. Conocer las herramientas para planificar una campaña de reconocimiento geológico en función de las necesidades del proyecto u obra y de la complejidad del emplazamiento.
