Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2021-22

This "Introduction to Chemical Engineering" is the first course in Chemical Engineering and consequently our objectives are:
a) Give an overview of what constitutes Chemical Engineering, with descriptive and qualitative information of Unit Operations and chemical process industries.
b) Provide basic knowledge and calculation tools for the student to formulate and solve material and energy balances in systems where chemical processes take place, and at the same time lay the foundation for subsequent courses in transport phenomena, unit operations, etc.
