La asignatura Programación 1 es el primer contacto del estudiante con la programación de ordenadores.
Está relacionada estrechamente con Programación 2, esta asignatura es la continuación de Programación 1. También tiene importantes relaciones de coordinación con Matemáticas 1, Fundamentos de las Bases de Datos, Lenguajes y Paradigmas de Programación, Sistemas y Tecnologías de Información y Estructuras de Computadores.
Básicamente es la piedra angular sobre la que asientan todas las asignaturas relativas a la materia de Programación que hay en la titulación.

- CG3 : Capacity to understand and master the basic concepts of discrete mathematics, logic, algorithms and computational complexity and their application to solve problems related to engineering.
