Course context for academic year 2013-14

 

La asignatura de Televisión aporta al estudiante los conocimientos generales sobre el diseño de un sistema de televisión, así como los detalles específicos de los sistemas de televisión digital, desde la formación de la señal en origen hasta su reproducción en destino.

Para ello se tratan los conceptos básicos y los parámetros característicos de un sistema de televisión, así como el tratamiento de señal y los medios de difusión empleados.

Asimismo, se presentan distintos estándares actuales de generación, compresión, distribución y difusión de la señal de televisión digital, analizando los aspectos tecnológicos que le dan soporte.

Esta asignatura es además el punto de partida para el resto de asignaturas que abordan el procesado y la transmisión de imágenes.

En cuanto a los requisitos previos, se trata de una asignatura aplicada en la que se requiere el dominio de contenidos tratados en materias de cursos anteriores, por lo que se recomienda haber superado previamente las siguientes asignaturas:

- Señales y Sistemas: conocimientos de Teoría de la Señal

- Tratamiento Digital de Señal: conocimientos de Teoría de la Señal

- Teoría de la Comunicación: conocimientos sobre Modulaciones de la Señal

- Fundamentos Ópticos de la Ingeniería: conocimientos de Óptica, Luz, Color

- Fundamentos Físicos II: conocimientos de Electromagnetismo

  • CT5 : Students should have developed the necessary learning skills to take on later studies with a high level of autonomy.

 

Specific Competences: >> Competences Common to the Telecommunications Branch

  • C1 : Capacity for self-learning of new knowledge and techniques appropriate for the conception, development and exploitation of telecommunications systems and services.
  • C2 : Capacity to use computer and information applications, office systems, databases, advanced calculation, project management, visualisation, etc.) to support the development and exploitation of telecommunications and electronics networks, services and applications.
  • C3 : Capacity to use computer tools to find bibliographic resources and information related to telecommunications and electronics.
  • C5 : Capacity to assess the advantages and drawbacks of different technological alternatives for the deployment and implementation of communications systems, from the point of view of signal space, perturbations and noise and analogue and digital modulation systems.

 

Specific Competences: >> Competences Specific to Sound and Image

  • E1 : Capacity to construct, exploit and manage telecommunications services and applications, understanding these to be systems for the acquisition, analogue and digital treatment, coding, transport, representation, processing, storage, reproduction, management and presentation of audiovisual services and multimedia information.
  • E2 : Capacity to analyse, specify, implement and maintain television, audio and video systems, equipment, amplifiers and installations, both fixed and mobile.
  • E5 : Capacity to create, code, manage, broadcast and distribute multimedia content, taking into account criteria of usability and accessibility to audiovisual, broadcasting and interactive services.

  • Comprender el problema de la generación de una señal correspondiente a información de imagen en movimiento
  • Comprender el esquema básico y los elementos que intervienen en cualquier sistema de televisión
  • Comprender, analizar y aplicar técnicas de tratamiento digital de imagen para la implementación de un sistema digital de televisión, incidiendo en los compromisos de diseño y la evaluación de la calidad
  • Conocer y evaluar distintos procedimientos de difusión de la señal de televisión digital
