Course context for academic year 2010-11

El computador, en sus funcionalidades de uso especializado, generalista, y como elemento de red, es el elemento central de operación en las tecnologías de la información, las comunicaciones y el control. Tecnológicamente, integra las dos tecnologías de referencia, hardware y software.

Ese es la esencia del enfoque que necesita adquirir el estudiante de grado para sacar provecho de los instrumentos y los sistemas de sonido y de los de imagen.

UA Basic Transversal Competences

  • CT11 : Capacity to learn and apply new concepts and methods in an autonomous and interdisciplinary fashion.
  • CT12 : Capacity to assimilate and adapt to the permanent evolution of technology when developing one's professional career.
  • CT13 : Capacity to adopt the scientific method when planning and carrying out different academic and professional tasks.
  • CT7 : Capacity for oral and written exposition.
  • CT9 : Capacity for group work.

 

Specific Competences:>>Basic

  • B2 : Basic understanding of using and programming computers, operating systems, databases and computer programs for use in engineering.

 

Basic Transversal Competences

  • CT1 : Students should show they possess and understand knowledge in a field of study that continues from general secondary education and is usually found at a level which, although supported by advanced textbooks, also includes certain aspects that involve knowledge arising from the cutting edge of their field of study.
  • CT3 : Students should have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (normally within their field of study) to give opinions that include a reflection on important, social, scientific, ethical matters, etc.

 

Specific Competences: >> Competences Common to the Telecommunications Branch

  • C2 : Capacity to use computer and information applications, office systems, databases, advanced calculation, project management, visualisation, etc.) to support the development and exploitation of telecommunications and electronics networks, services and applications.
  • C3 : Capacity to use computer tools to find bibliographic resources and information related to telecommunications and electronics.

Objetivos Conceptuales
- Comprender la organización y la estructura de computadores y de las redes de computadores
- Aprender las nociones básicas de la informática
- Conocer los dispositivos computerizados de procesamiento de sonido y de imagen
- Conocer aplicaciones relevantes para procesamiento de imagen y de sonido, sobre todo en computadores personales e internet
Objetivos Procedimentales
- Diseñar módulos específicos para operaciones de sonido y de imagen
- Evaluar las prestaciones de sistemas y aplicaciones especializadas, con fines de auditoría y asesoramiento
- Adquirir destreza en el manejo de los computadores personales para uso como asistente del ingeniero de sonido e imagen
Objetivos de Actitud
- Actitud de empleo de la tecnología informática en la actividad profesional del ingeniero de sonido e imagen
- Proclividad a la realización de proyectos de ingeniería en régimen multidisciplinar con los expertos en informática y en control
