Course context for academic year 2013-14

La asignatura de Modelos y Métodos I se impartirá durante el tercer semestre del Grado en Trabajo Social y constituirá la antesala de la asignatura de Modelos y Métodos II con la que guarda una relación de incompatibilidad. Esta materia se imbrica dentro del conjunto formativo del grado con la pretensión de introducir al alumnado en una visión comprensiva y abarcadora del panorama de los modelos teóricos que se plantean como orientativos del quehacer profesional, así como sentar las bases metodológicas básicas para orientar el trabajo profesional. Aspira también a ofrecer al alumnado la posibilidad de reflexionar desde una óptica profesional acerca de la idoneidad o conveniencia que presenta el enfrentamiento de determinado tipo de situaciones de dificultad social con la aplicación modelos adaptados a las circunstancias específicas y particulares que esa determinada realidad social presenta.

 

Prestará especial atención al desarrollo y aplicación del modelo psicosocial. Para esta finalidad se profundizará en las bases teóricas que lo sustentan, así como los procesos operativos en que se articula para ofrecer respuestas a las dificultades sociales con que se  enfrenta.

Esta asignatura, como ya se ha apuntado anteriormente, supondrá una base necesaria para comprender los tratamientos temáticos que se abordarán en “Modelos y métodos del Trabajo Social II”, asignatura con la que, volvemos a insistir, guarda una relación de incompatibilidad. A su vez, servirá de base y orientación para la asignatura de “Habilidades Sociales I”.

Guarda, asimismo, una estrecha relación con las asignaturas de “Fundamentos del Trabajo Social” e “Iniciación a las Habilidades Sociales” que se imparten durante el primer y segundo semestre del grado.  Supone en relación con estas materias, por un lado, una continuidad en relación con los contenidos abordados en ellas y, por otro, una profundización y apertura hacia referencias temáticas apuntadas en ellas.

También ofrecerá referencias para ser tenidas en cuenta como especificidad formativa transversal en las asignaturas: “Trabajo Social con Personas y Familias”, “Trabajo Social con Grupos”, “Trabajo Social con Comunidades”, “Habilidades Profesionales II”, “Prácticas I, II, y III” y “Prácticas Externas I, II, III y IV”.

  • CE10 : Analyse and systematise the information provided by one's daily work as a support for reviewing and improving the professional strategies that should respond to emerging social situations.
  • CE11 : Use mediation as a strategy for intervening to ensure alternative conflict resolution.
  • CE12 : Design, implement and evaluate social intervention projects.
  • CE13 : Defend individuals, families, groups, organisations and communities and act in their name when the situation demands.
  • CE14 : Prepare and take part in decision-making meetings to better defend the interests of individuals, families, groups, organisations and communities.
  • CE15 : Identify risk situations and act to solve them through the identification and definition of their nature.

  • CE4 : Respond to crisis situations by evaluating the urgency of the situations, planning and developing actions to deal with the crisis and checking results.
  • CE5 : Interact with individuals, families, groups, organisations and communities to achieve changes, promote development and improve quality of life by using Social Work methods and models, regularly monitoring the changes that occur in order to prepare for the end of the intervention.
  • CE6 : Prepare, produce, implement and evaluate intervention plans with individuals, families, groups, organisations, communities and fellow professionals, negotiating the supply of services that need to be used and checking the effectiveness of intervention plans with those involved in order to adapt them to changing needs and circumstances.
  • CE7 : Support the development of networks to cope with needs and work to favour the planned results, examining the support networks that individuals can access and develop with those involved.
  • CE8 : Promote the growth, development and independence of individuals by identifying opportunities to create groups, using programming and group dynamics for individual growth and the strengthening of interpersonal relationship skills.
  • CE9 : Work with behaviours that represent a risk for the individuals, families, groups, organisations and communities, identifying the situations and circumstances that configure said behaviours and develop strategies to modify the same.
