Course context for academic year 2021-22

La Sociología Política se ocupa del estudio de las relaciones entre sociedad, poder y política. Las teorías y hallazgos sobre poder, política y sociedad forman una corriente que discurre a través de todas las civilizaciones y períodos históricos: las civilizaciones clásicas de la Hélade y Roma; la civilización Cristiana y la communitas universalis, con las dos “espadas”, la del Emperador y la del Papa; el Renacimiento, el Barroco y la forja del Estado-nación moderno; la Ilustración y la crisis de la Monarquía y de la sociedad aristocrática; la sociedad industrial urbana del siglo XIX; la sociedad ultraindustrial en la primera mitad del siglo XX y los macropoderes y macroestados de la segunda mitad del siglo XX y del siglo XXI.

  • CES2 : Analysis of the main features of the modern historical system (structure) and the transformations and evolution of contemporary societies.

  • CEE1 : Critical attitude to doctrines (main currents, dominant paradigms) and social practices.
  • CEE2 : Acceptance of democratic values and a commitment to respect human rights and non-discrimination on the grounds of gender, class, race ethnic origin, opinion or disability.
