  FURTHER APPLIED GEOLOGY IN ENGINEERING

Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2018-19

La Geología Aplicada a la Ingeniería permite conocer las necesidades que la Ingeniería tiene de los materiales y procesos geológicos que tienen lugar en la superficie de la Tierra. Ello permite una correcta evaluación de su efecto en los trabajos de ingeniería.

 

Esta asignatura parte de los conocimientos previamente adquiridos por el alumno en la asignatura "25541- Geología Aplicada a la Ingeniería", por lo que resulta muy recomendable que el alumno ya la haya cursado y aprobado.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG2 : Show ability for efficient and effective management/direction: entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, creativity, organisation, planning, control, decision-making and negotiation.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE18 : Know how to resolve geological problems in Civil Engineering works.
  • CE34 : Participate in studies of the physical environment in Civil Works and Building.
  • CE36 : Prepare reports and studies dealing with the exploration, research, production, transformation and control of geological and hydrogeological resources.
  • CE37 : Carry out scientific and technical consultancy tasks dealing with geology and geo-mining problems.
  • CE39 : Direct and prepare reports on Geological and Environmental Studies related to the Planning Directives of different areas of Government or private bodies.

 

Generic UA Competences

  • CGUA1 : Acquire the computer knowledge needed for storing, analysing, synthesising and modelling the data required for the degree course.
  • CGUA2 : Understand sources of information for Geology and know how to manage them.
  • CGUA3 : Express oneself correctly, both orally and in writing, in either of the two official languages of the Region of Valencia.
