Competencies and objectives
Course context for academic year 2024-25
The Biology subject aims to provide a deep understanding of Cell Biology and Histology, which are fundamental for the study of nutrition. This subject enables students to integrate knowledge of molecular and cellular biology with the organization and functioning of the different tissues of the human body, preparing future nutritionists to apply these principles in health promotion and the treatment of nutrition-related diseases. Similarly, the Biology subject is essential for the training and development of future nutrition specialists, as it provides the scientific basis necessary to understand how nutrition impacts the cellular and tissue levels of the human body.
