Course context for academic year 2024-25

The subject "European Union Law", taught by the areas of Constitutional Law and Public International Law and International Relations, pursues as its training purpose the knowledge and analysis of the origin and evolution of the European integration process, the objectives, principles and values of the European Union, as well as its institutions, legal system and its relationship with internal regulations, its jurisdictional system, the protection of fundamental rights and the status of citizenship. This subject contributes to the professional profile of the degree and to the development of its specific and generic skills by offering knowledge of the basis of the entire European system. The knowledge acquired paves the way for research, professional practice, a diplomatic career or access to different public service positions within the European Union. This learning, furthermore, acquires a strategic character if it is directed towards greater subsequent specialization, taking advantage of new opportunities in the field of expectations of growing regional integration of a cross-border nature and the internationalization needs of companies, public entities and all types of organizations.

  • CE4 : Capacitat per la utilització de fonts jurídiques (legals, jurisprudencials i doctrinals).
  • CE6 : Capacitat de llegir i interpretar textos jurídics.
  • CE7 : Capacitat de redactar escrits jurídics.
  • CE9 : Adquisició d'una consciència crítica en l'anàlisi de l'ordenament jurídic i desenvolupament de la dialèctica jurídica.
