Se pretende, con todo ello, familiarizarse con la historia y desarrollo del comparatismo, sus temáticas más destacadas, la adopción de una metodología contrastiva aplicable al estudio de la literatura española y otras literaturas, así como capacidad relacional entre la literatura y las otras artes. En consecuencia, tener capacidad para manejarse con el comentario de textos y obras contrastado.
