Course context for academic year 2019-20

This subject is part of the Teaching Competence Certificate for Catalan, English, German and French, enabling students to get Catalan and Foreign languages Teaching Competence Certificate, which qualifies to provide teaching English and foreign languages in non-university educational levels.

This subject is taught in two languages (Catalan and English), in groups and with different teachers. This configuration groups involved slight variations in terms of organisation of content; that is why, students should consult the course description for each specific group:

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2019-20

  1. To become aware of what CLIL is and how it can be implemented
  2. To learn how to design didactic units based on CLIL.
  3. To learn how to evaluate learning through CLIL.
  4. To learn how to integrate linguistic abilities based on the Common European Framework Reference of Languages (CEFR) within the classroom.
