A project of Information Technologies and Systems is carried out in a much broader context than in a Software development department, being the figure of the programmer or software designer one more piece of all the elements that participate in the project. In practice, multiple factors directly influence the success or failure of an IT / SI project, from the alignment with the business strategy to aspects such as a correct temporal planning of the same, choice of the appropriate human and technological resources, accurate estimation of costs, risks, etc. Therefore, it is essential to train the IT/IS professional with the necessary skills to be able to plan and manage all aspects and resources involved in the life cycle of an IT/IS project. The contents of this course are aligned with the content and practices recommended in the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge), proposed by the PMI (Project Management Institute), widely accepted as the standard for planning and project management.
