  ADVANCED SOFTWARE SPECIFICATION TECHNIQUES

Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2019-20

The Technical Specification Software course (TAES) is taught in the second semester of the third year of the degree in Computer Engineering in the itinerary of Software Engineering.
It is a subject of 6 credits, which means four hours of classroom teaching in the classroom. Half of them are theoretical credits and the other half are practical.
In TAES is presented a number of keys aspects for the efficient development of software such as teamwork development as well as software development methodologies .
The base is that a development of a complex software development will be more successful if the tasks of previous analysis and planning is done properly and whether each team member is able to work as such team.
This course is a natural continuation of the Analysis and Specification of Software Systems but is intrinsically related to other subjects Application Development and Database Design.

Specific Competences (Specific Technology):>>Software Engineering

  • CEIS1 : Capacity to develop, maintain and apply software systems and services that satisfy all user requirements and behave reliably and efficiently, are easy to develop and maintain and comply with quality regulations, applying the theories, principles, methods and practices of Software Engineering.
  • CEIS2 : Capacity to evaluate the needs of clients and specify the software requirements to satisfy said needs, reconciling conflicting goals by finding acceptable compromises within the limitations of cost, time, the existence of already available systems and the organisations themselves.
  • CEIS4 : Capacity to identify and analyse problems and design, develop, implement, verify and document software solutions on the basis of suitable knowledge of current, theories, models and techniques.
  • CEIS5 : Capacity to identify, evaluate and manage any potential associated risks that could appear.

 

Competencias Básicas

  • CB3 : Que los estudiantes tengan la capacidad de reunir e interpretar datos relevantes (normalmente dentro de su área de estudio) para emitir juicios que incluyan una reflexión sobre temas relevantes de índole social, científica o ética.
