Students are expected to achieve and prove the Mastery of the English Language (B) in level B2 in both, its theoretical and practical aspects in order to be trained and prepared in the translation and interpretation professions.

The students should obtain the level B2 of English. To achieve this they you will have to:
Study the first modern language (English) contrasting and comparing it with their mother tongue and, therefore, dissociating the two languages in contact.
Develop and practice the four main language skills: written comprehension, oral comprehension, written expression and oral expression.
Use computer resources for the practice of oral and written expression.
Become aware and put into practice the use of personal and individual resources in order to progress towards self-learning techniques.
Reinforce the knowledge and use of the English B language by the students so that they will improve their translation training skills.
Specific objectives provided by teachers:
The students should obtain the level B2 of English. To achieve this they will have to:
- Widen up their English language knowledge at its phonological, syntactic and lexical levels; Develop their textual, interactional and sociolinguistic competence.
- Develop the four main linguistic skills: written comprehension, oral comprehension, written expression and oral expression.
- Strengthen the knowledge and use of English Language B to improve their translation training skills.
- Find and use their own resources in order to improve and progress towards self-learning and self-assessment techniques.
