Text analysis of literary and non-literary texts from a stylistic point of view, focusing on the necessary critical skills and reading strategies to analyze a text and build a successful essay through the study of a variety of genres, themes, historical periods, and national literatures. This subject is a practical follow-up to other courses studied previously in this degree.

Develop analytical skills and critical through for text analysis.


Improve and deepen understanding of knowledge related to the main periods, movements, authors, themes and forms of English literature.


Acquire the necessary theoretical background to promote linguistic interaction with a critical perspective.


Apply the necessary skills for a deeper understanding of texts and grasp larger issues involved.


Analyse and debate key issues according to the different genres.
