  HISTORY OF PHILOSOPHY

Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2010-11

La asignatura está orientada hacia la formación básica e integral del profesional de las Humanidades y su objetivo es que adquiera las herramientas conceptuales que le capaciten para analizar y comprender los textos filosóficos clave de la cultura occidental. Para ello, se planteará un recorrido histórico que se detendrá en los hitos del pensamiento helenístico, cristiano, renacentista, moderno, post-ilustrado y contemporáneo. Con ello se pretende asimismo que el alumno se forme en aspectos esenciales de cara a la docencia de la Filosofía en la enseñanza secundaria, al trabajo en museos y patrimonio y a la investigación y documentación de textos.

  • CE2 : Understand History and the major artistic and philosophical currents of Mankind, particularly the classical foundations on which European cultural reality is based, and be able to transmit them by promoting the social value of culture.
  • CE8 : Acquire skills to prepare and display content related to the human and social sciences for dissemination and for educating secondary school children, using personal skills and ICT.

Objetivos generales

 

  1. Estudiar la Historia de la Filosofía, delimitada al ámbito del pensamiento occidental e identificar las etapas filosóficas que han captado con mayor claridad y distinción las características de las diferentes épocas.
  2.  Explicar cómo estas etapas y los autores que las representan de modo paradigmático han incidido en la estructura de sus instituciones — políticas, jurídicas, lingüísticas…—, en la organización de sus saberes —técnicos, administrativos, científicos…— y en los proyectos de emancipación de la vida humana.
  3.  Comprender en su contexto y también desde las problemáticas del presente los textos clave de dichos autores.
