Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2019-20

Ciencia de Materiales es una asignatura obligatoria del cuarto curso de la Titulación de Graduado en Química, que se imparte durante el primer cuatrimestre del mismo. Esta asignatura está vinculada dentro del plan de estudios con el área de conocimiento de Química Inorgánica. Lo que se pretende con esta asignatura es: 1. Introducir al estudiante los conceptos básicos de la Ciencia de los Materiales. Para ello, se pretende que el alumno conozca los principios fundamentales de propiedades mecánicas, así como la caracterización mecánica de materiales. Además, se persigue que el alumno conozca la clasificación de los materiales según sus propiedades y usos, así como la interrelación entre ellos. 2. Conocer los materiales prestando especial atención a la relación microestructura-propiedades de los materiales. Se estudiará la influencia del método de síntesis en la estructura, microestructura y propiedades. Se estudiarán métodos de conformación para la puesta en servicio de los materiales. 3. Que el alumno sea también capaz de estudiar y planificar sus actividades de cara al aprendizaje de manera individual y en grupo, haciendo uso de la bibliografía a su alcance.

  • CE26 : Recognise and analyse new problems and plan strategies to solve them
  • CE27 : Interpret, evaluate and synthesise Chemical data and information.
  • CE29 : Process and compute data associated with chemical information.
  • CE30 : Handle chemical reagents, instruments and devices safely.
  • CE33 : Monitor by observing and measuring chemical properties, events or changes, gathering the appropriate information.
  • CE35 : Interpret data obtained from laboratory observation and measurement.
  • CE36 : Prepare, present and defend scientific reports both in writing and orally in front of an audience.
  • CE38 : Use inductive and deductive methods correctly in the field of Chemistry.
  • CE39 : Recognise and evaluate chemical processes in daily life.
  • CE40 : Relate Chemistry to other disciplines.
