Course context for academic year 2019-20

      Asignatura obligatoria semestral (6º semestre) del Grado en Química.
      La asignatura está enfocada para que el alumno de química conozca una parcela muy importante de su currículo. De forma básica y general se tratan aquellos ítems que hacen referencia a las biomoléculas, y que en base a su naturaleza química permitan conocer la estructura y la función que desempeñan en los seres vivos, con mención especial a aquellas de naturaleza proteica que presentan poder catalítico, las enzimas Se estudian los métodos de aislamiento y purificación de estas moléculas.
      La  descripción de las vías metabólicas en las que participan, haciendo hincapié en los mecanismos de obtención  de energía, configuran y completan la asignatura.
      La superación de la asignatura proporciona el nivel de conocimientos adecuado para el abordaje de la asignatura optativa de cuarto curso “Biología y Biotecnología molecular” con la que se completa el nivel básico mínimo que un alumno de la titulación de Química debe conocer sobre la química y la biotecnología de los seres vivos

  • CE7 : Understand the kinetics of chemical change and its applications, including catalysis and reaction mechanisms.

  • CE30 : Handle chemical reagents, instruments and devices safely.
  • CE32 : Use standard chemical instruments for identification, quantification, separation and structural determination.
  • CE33 : Monitor by observing and measuring chemical properties, events or changes, gathering the appropriate information.
  • CE35 : Interpret data obtained from laboratory observation and measurement.
  • CE36 : Prepare, present and defend scientific reports both in writing and orally in front of an audience.
  • CE40 : Relate Chemistry to other disciplines.

 

Generic UA Competences
