Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2019-20

Actividades formativas en 6 créditos ECTS, de los cuales el 40 % (2,4 ETCS) son presenciales conforme a la siguiente distribución: 1,8 ECTS de Teoría, que se dedican al aprendizaje de los contenidos teóricos fundamentales a partir de la impartición de la lección magistral pero también participativa; y 0,6 ECTS de la parte práctica, que se dedicarán a la resolución de problemas basados en situaciones reales relacionadas con las materias tratadas en clase.

De los 10 puntos que pueden obtenerse en la asignatura, 4 puntos es el máximo atribuible al trabajo escrito de parafraseado académico; 5 puntos es el máximo atribuible al examen (independientemente de la convocatoria), y 1 punto es el máximo atribuible por asistencia y participación en clase. Se aprueba la asignatura una vez obtenidos 5 puntos o más. El alumno podrá presentarse a todas las pruebas objetivas (exámenes, trabajos escritos, etc.) que se realicen durante el curso académico de su matrícula: la mejor nota obtenida en cada uno de los tres segmentos de calificación (examen, trabajo escrito, asistencia y participación en clase) será la que computará para realizar la media de la calificación final constitutiva del Acta oficial.

Specific Disciplinary Training Competences (Theoretical)

  • CES1 : Analysis of the main concepts and generalisations on human society and its processes.
  • CES2 : Analysis of the main features of the modern historical system (structure) and the transformations and evolution of contemporary societies.
  • CES3 : Understanding and mastery of social science methodology, its statistical tools, methods and basic and advanced social research techniques, both quantitative and qualitative.

 

Specific Disciplinary Training Competences (Practical)

  • CEH3 : Capacity to plan, design and execute social intervention projects and public policies designed to deal with social problems.

 

Transversal Competences

  • CT1 : Capacity for analysis and synthesis.
