Course context for academic year 2016-17

La asignatura Justicia Constitucional e interpretación Constitucional tiene como objeto el estudio del cumplimiento, tutela y aplicación de las normas jurídicas constitucionales y los mecanismos de control y tutela constitucional.
Partiendo del carácter supremo y normativo de la Constitución a la que deben sujetarse todos los poderes del Estado, con esta disciplina el alumnado debe obtener una formación jurídica-constitucional sobre la eficacia de los preceptos constitucionales mediante el control de constitucionalidad de los poderes del Estado, desde el examen o control de la constitucionalidad de las leyes, a la resolución de conflictos entre poderes y órganos del Estado, así como la tutela constitucional de los derechos y libertades, mediante diferentes mecanismos, entre los que se encuentra el Tribunal Constitucional.
Esta asignatura, con ello, contribuye al perfil profesional del título y al desarrollo de las competencias específicas y genéricas del mismo al ofrecer el conocimiento de la interpretación y control constitucionales.
El papel de la asignatura dentro del plan de estudios se articula dentro de los conocimientos del intinerario de derecho público, estando conectada con los demás conocimientos jurídicos del plan de estudios.
