Course context for academic year 2016-17

La asignatura “Introducción a la Ciencia Política” corresponde al Área de Ciencia Política y de la Administración, Departamento de Estudios Jurídicos del Estado, de la Universidad de Alicante. “Introducción a la Ciencia Política” (Formación Básica de Primer Curso, Segundo Semestre, del Grado en Criminología). 6 créditos ETCS. 


6 créditos ECTS (60 horas presenciales y 90 horas de trabajo autónomo del alumno) 


La finalidad principal de la asignatura es que el alumno adquiera sólidos conocimientos del Área de Ciencia Política y de la Administración, así como manejar habilidades específicas y generales que le permitan una adecuada aplicación de lo aprendido con vistas a un mejor desempeño profesional, una vez concluida su etapa universitaria formativa. De ahí la importancia de una correcta incardinación, y equilibrio, entre las clases teóricas y prácticas.

  • CE1 : Be able to describe fundamental concepts in the fields of psychology, sociology, law and natural sciences that are needed to provide a global analysis of criminal phenomena and deviation.
  • CE6 : Be able to identify public policy strategies affecting the field of criminology and responses to crime and deviation.
  • CE8 : Be able to argue and describe different points of view and debate them in a logical and coherent manner and present conclusions in an appropriate academic format when dealing with questions of criminal policy, victimisation, criminalisation and responses to crime and deviation as well as on the perception and interpretation of the same by the communications media, public opinion and official reports.
