Course context for academic year 2018-19

Knowledge of the functional structures of the human body , are part of the basic knowledge for work and development of physical education students in kindergarten and primary . This requires knowing the keys of human movement , its performance and the reasons that produce and allow these movements.

On the other hand , we must understand human physiology and understand the processes of change that the body experiences during development in connection with the exercise .

Therefore , in order to know how that development occurs, we must also know the different methods of evaluation and functional , specific or global assessment can be carried out in our assessments .

This asignarura provides a knowledge base for further implementation of the knowledge gained by applying the latest trends and developments in evaluation, assessment and knowledge of kinesiology movement .

DEGREE IN PRE-SCHOOL SPECIALITY

 

General Competences (CG)

  • CG1 : Ethical commitment. Demonstrate attitudes that are coherent with deontological and ethical conceptions, while respecting and promoting democratic values, gender equality, non-discrimination of the disabled, equity and respect for human rights. Capacity for constructive criticism and self-criticism.
  • CG2 : Capacity to learn and accept responsibility. Be aware of the learning process itself and self-regulate it. Capacity to find, use and integrate information. Show interest in learning throughout one's life and update one's professional competences and points of view, autonomously, focused according to the needs of the moment. Ensure balanced emotional growth.
  • CG3 : Capacity to adapt to new situations. Analyse changes that may occur in the environment flexibly and be able to take well-founded decisions to respond to them. Plan and organise new actions with reflective capacity.
  • CG4 : Team work. Collaborate with others to create a common project. Be able to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams and assume different roles in the dynamics of the work groups and lead them when appropriate.
  • CG5 : Interpersonal relationship skills. Show empathy, sociability and tact when communicating with others, as well as opposing violence, prejudice and sexist stereotypes. Create a pleasant and cooperative atmosphere. Transmit well-being, security, calmness and sympathy in interpersonal relationships.
  • CG6 : Capacity for creativity and entrepreneurship. Formulate, design and manage innovative projects to answer the needs detected. Find and integrate new knowledge and attitudes in national and international experiences to make creative changes to professional practices.
  • CG7 : Recognise diversity and multiculturalism. Value diversity of all kinds positively, respect other world views and manage multicultural interactions creatively for mutual enrichment.
  • CG8 : Sustainability. Evaluate the social and environmental impact of one's own actions and surroundings. Express integrated and systemic points of view and promote changes for the sustainable management of resources.
  • CG9 : Capacity for communication. Understand and express oneself both orally and in writing in the official languages of the Region of Valencia and one foreign language, including all available visual and auditory elements needed in each case, communicating effectively and efficiently in different contexts and for different purposes.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE10 : Promote child growth and development, paying special attention to basic hygiene, health and nutrition and the fundamentals of the learning and personality construction process in early childhood. Recognise the fundamentals of early intervention.
  • CE11 : Be involved in the different activities related to running infant schools, based on an understanding of their organisation.
  • CE12 : Understand that teaching involves continuous improvement and adapting to scientific, pedagogical, technological, social and cultural changes throughout one's lifetime.
  • CE13 : Understand the importance of the role of the teacher so as to collaborate with and guide parents of children aged 0-6 years as regards family education, and master social skills for dealing with the families of each individual child and families as a whole.
  • CE2 : Promote and facilitate learning in early childhood, from a globalising and integrating approach to the different cognitive, linguistic, emotional, motor, social, philosophical, cultural and volitive dimensions .
  • CE3 : Design and regulate harmonious learning contexts in contexts of diversity in Preschool Education that satisfy the unique educational needs of each child, learning difficulties, gender equality, equity and the respect for human rights.
  • CE4 : Foment coexistence both in and outside the Infant Education classroom and present the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
  • CE5 : Systematically observe learning and coexistence environments in Infant Education contexts, interpret educational practices according to the theoretical reference frameworks, reflect on them and act in consequence.
  • CE6 : Empower group reflection on the acceptance of standards and respect for others. Promote the autonomy and unique nature of all students as factors in educating emotions, feelings and values in early childhood.
  • CE7 : Promote the evolution of different pre-school education languages, identify possible dysfunctions and ensure their correct evolution. Favour the development of communication skills.
  • CE8 : Deal effectively with language learning situations in multicultural and multilingual contexts. Select the most appropriate educational resources for each situation.
  • CE9 : Recognise the educational implications of information and communications technologies and, in particular, of television in early childhood.

  • M-EF-01 : Capacidad de diseñar, aplicar y evaluar procesos, programas y proyectos de calidad para evaluar el acondicionamiento físico y prescribir ejercicios correctivos.
  • M-EF-02 : Capacidad de gestión y aplicación de los conocimientos sobre el conocimiento y control del cuerpo en el ejercicio físico.
  • M-EF-06 : Capacidad de diseñar, aplicar y evaluar procesos, programas y proyectos para evaluar el acondicionamiento físico con alumnos en los distintos niveles del currículo.
  • M-EF-08 : Dominio para planificar, evaluar y controlar los aprendizajes motrices y la eficacia de los mismos en los juegos y deportes.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG1 : Identify information needs and then find, analyse, process, evaluate and communicate it effectively, critically and creatively.
  • CG2 : Plan, organise and manage processes, information, problem-solving and projects. Possess initiative, entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to generate new ideas and actions.
  • CG3 : Show oral and written language skills for teaching (official languages of the Region of Valencia and foreign languages) and the ability to communicate on different levels in different registers.
  • CG4 : Use the new information and communication technologies to learn, communicate and share knowledge.
  • CG5 : Work in a team, collaborating and leading when necessary.
  • CG6 : Value diversity as a matter of fact and integrate it positively.
  • CG7 : Capacity for criticism and self-criticism, giving reasoned judgements and ethical, professional and personal commitment. Motivated to improve quality.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE10 : Use assessment in its pedagogical function, and not only for accreditation, as an element that regulates and promotes improved teaching, learning and the training process itself, assuming the need for continuous professional development through reflection, self-assessment and research into one's own practice.
  • CE11 : Understand that education in general and teaching and learning processes in particular are complex. Assume that working as a teacher means improving, updating and adapting to scientific, pedagogic, social and cultural change. Understand the importance of taking part in innovation and research projects related to teaching and learning, and of introducing innovative proposals into the classroom.
  • CE12 : Express oneself orally and in writing with the necessary fluency and precision in Catalan and Spanish to be able to teach at primary level and also use a foreign language as a vehicle in certain classroom situations.
  • CE13 : Promote and head the development and implementation, in the school you belong to, of curriculum proposals in an area where are best qualified and take responsibility for promoting quality improvement processes in said area.
  • CE2 : Understand the characteristics and conditions in which school learning takes place and indentify how this could affect the development of the students and act as a tutor, focusing on the students and parents of your group. All seeking understanding and cooperation with the families, bearing in mind different family contexts and lifestyles.
  • CE3 : Organise teaching in the framework of the epistemological paradigms of the subjects of the degree course, combining one's knowledge of the discipline with the transversal and multidisciplinary knowledge needed for the respective levels of education, showing one's understanding of the learning aims of the areas of knowledge laid down in the primary education curriculum.
  • CE4 : Motivate and promote the progress of students in school in the framework of comprehensive education and promote their self-learning skills, starting with the targets and content of each educational level, with positive expectations of student progress. All of this while renouncing traditional stereotypes that are external to learning, and developing strategies to avoid discrimination and exclusion.
  • CE5 : Identify and support those students who do not achieve their learning potential or have behavioural, emotional or social problems. Also know how to request advice from different services and specialists to attend diverse special education needs.
  • CE6 : Encourage students to act as responsible and critical citizens to promote the shared construction of democratic standards of coexistence and work together to resolve problematic situations and conflicts. Be able to analyse social inequalities in the framework of the complex education-school relationship and the role of teachers in reproducing and/or transforming them.
  • CE7 : Design and develop educational projects, programming units, contexts, activities and materials, including digital material, to allow the curriculum to be adapted to the diverse nature of the students and promote the quality of the contexts in which the educational process takes place, thus guaranteeing their well-being.
  • CE8 : Assume the ethical dimension of teaching, acting responsibly, making decisions and critically analysing educational concepts and proposals proceeding from both research and innovation and from educational administration.
  • CE9 : Integrate information and communication technologies into guided and autonomous teaching and learning activities.
