Instructional Psychology is a subject which is part of the basic training “Learning and Development of Personality” module within the syllabus of a Primary Teacher Degree. This subject is studied in second year and is related to Educational Psychology, the contents of which should be mastered in-depth. The aims and objectives of Instructional Psychology focus on the analysis of cognitive processes when dealing with the basic skills involved in reading, writing, mathematics and science and on the main instructional procedures involved in the teaching and learning process.

1. Get to know the theoretical and epistemological framework of this subject, which acts as a bridge between the theories of teaching and learning.
2. Analyze the main learning processes in Primary Education and the structure of content teaching.
