Course context for academic year 2018-19

El conocimiento de los materiales de construcción dota, al futuro Arquitecto/a Técnico/a, de las herramientas necesarias para tener en cuenta las exigencias funcionales de la cada uno de los sistemas constructivos en los que se puedan llegar a utilizar en obra, dado que las características que poseen los materiales de construcción garantizan el adecuado desempeño de su función. Para cada una de las funciones, además de los posibles requerimientos normativos, habrá que tener en cuenta también la interrelación tanto entre los distintos materiales que comparten función como con el medio ambiente que les rodea es su puesta en obra. Todo ello, permitirá desde el punto de vista técnico, controlar la correcta puesta en obra del material. Además de los criterios técnicos, en el control de la puesta en obra del material intervendrán criterios económicos, ecológicos y estéticos que también deberán considerarse. Por ello, la asignatura Materiales de Construcción I se ocupa de abordar los conocimientos básicos e imprescindibles de las familias de Materiales de pétreos naturales y artificiales, y de comenzar a formar en los criterios de control de obra de los mismos para su utilización en el Sector de la Edificación. Los conocimientos adquiridos con el estudio de esta asignatura habrán de reforzarse, aplicarse y desarrollarse en las siguientes asignaturas de distintos ámbitos de conocimiento de los Estudios de Arquitecto/a Técnico/a.

  • G4 : Understand the chemical characteristics of the materials used in building, their elaboration processes, the methodology of tests to determine their characteristics, their geological origin and environmental impact, recycling and waste management.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • E4 : Understand the traditional or prefabricated materials used in building, their types and the physical and mechanical characteristics that define them.
  • E5 : Capacity to choose the correct building materials for the type and use of the building, manage and direct their receipt and quality control of the materials, their location on site, control the execution of the work units and carry out final tests and trials.

 

General Transversal Competences

  • G12 : Computer and information skills.
  • G13 : Oral and written communication skills.
