  • Analyze time series models and techniques, noting their strengths and limitations.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2025-26

This course has the following objectives:

1. To familiarize students with the key advances in time-series econometrics that have gained significant prominence over the past decades.

2. To ensure that students develop a deep understanding of the foundational concepts essential to time-series econometrics.

3. To examine in depth the statistical models currently in use, together with the analytical techniques and methods applied, and to assess their respective strengths and limitations.

4. To reinforce the knowledge acquired by working through straightforward problems.

5. To enable students to critically evaluate the diverse applications of time-series econometrics to economic problems.
