Course context for academic year 2026-27
La asignatura de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales en Edificación está enmarcada dentro de la materia de Gestión del Proceso dentro de la titulación de Grado en Arquitectura Técnica.
Pretende aportar al estudiante unas nociones básicas sobre la prevención de riesgos laborales aplicada al sector de la construcción y, en concreto, a las obras de edificación para que sea capaz de aplicarla luego en otras asignaturas así como ampliarla y desarrollarla en su futuro profesional, por ejemplo si ha de trabajar como Coordinador en materia de Seguridad y Salud, Jefe de Obra, etc.
Para ello, se abordarán primero algunos conceptos básicos sobre prevención de riesgos laborales, para, a continuación, ver su aplicación a la construcción de obras de edificación, así como la legislación, riesgos y técnicas de prevención específicas.
Algunas de las competencias que se pretende que consiga el estudiante se obtendrán conjuntamente con otras asignaturas (que se deberían cursar posteriormente a la de Prevención de riesgos laborales en edificación), como, por ejemplo, Proyectos Técnicos y Proyecto Fin de Grado, que se recomienda abordar de forma posterior a esta asignatura de PRLE.
Para poder comprender la asignatura es preciso que el estudiante tenga conocimientos previos sobre el proceso constructivo y los materiales y equipos de trabajo necesarios para cada fase de la obra.
Por lo tanto, el estudiante, para poder cursar esta asignatura, debería haber adquirido ya las competencias correspondientes a los cinco primeros semestres de la titulación y, especialmente, de las siguientes asignaturas:
- Construcción de estructuras I y II
- Instalaciones I y II
- Construcción de elementos no estructurales I
- Equipos de obra, instalaciones y medios auxiliares

Skills/Skills
- O1 : To direct the material execution of building works, their installations and elements, carrying out qualitative and quantitative control of what has been built by establishing and managing control plans for materials, systems, and work execution, preparing the corresponding records for their incorporation into the Building Book. To carry out the economic control of the work by preparing certifications and the settlement of the executed work.
Conocimientos/Contenidos
- CE18 : Knowledge of construction law and contractual relationships that occur in the different phases of the building process, as well as specific legislation, regulations, and norms for prevention and coordination in occupational health and safety in building.
- CE31 : Knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of the agents involved in building and their professional or business organization. Administrative, management, and processing procedures.
Skills/Competences
- CE01 : Ability to interpret and prepare graphic project documentation, collect data, perform plan surveys, and geometric control of work units.
- CE13 : Ability to apply technical regulations to the building process and generate technical specification documents for building procedures and construction methods.
- CE17 : Ability to program and organize construction processes, work teams, and technical and human resources for their execution and maintenance.
- CE19 : Aptitude for drafting studies, basic studies, and health and safety plans, and coordinating safety in the project phase or in the work execution phase.
- CE30 : Ability to analyze execution projects and translate them into the execution of works.
- O2 : To carry out technical activities of calculation, measurements, valuations, appraisals, and economic viability studies; to perform expert opinions, inspections, pathology analyses, and other similar ones, and to draft the corresponding reports, opinions, and technical documents; to carry out plan surveys of plots and buildings
- O4 : To prepare technical projects and supervise building works within the scope of their legal qualification.
