The subject of Construction History belongs to the area of Architectural Construction Knowledge. It aims at introducing students of engineering building and technical architecture on the knowledge of the historic buildings and constructive solutions from the Ancient World to Postmodernism.

- CE04 : Knowledge of traditional or prefabricated materials and construction systems used in building, their varieties, and the physical and mechanical characteristics that define them.
- CE06 : Knowledge of the historical evolution of construction techniques and elements and structural systems that have given rise to stylistic forms.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2026-27
The overall objective of the course aims to train students in the analysis of historical buildings, contextualizing them, developing the ability to read the constructional details of different eras and acquiring a criterion for intervention on historical and contemporary buildings.
To achieve the overall objective, trips and field trips will be organized to heritage sites:
- Sites with projects shared with other institutions (Granada, Milan, Tetouan, etc.).
- Sites of educational interest.
Classes will generally be taught using the "peripatetic method" developed by Aristotle in Ancient Greece. This teaching and learning technique consists of discussing and reflecting while walking.
