Competencies and objectives
Course context for academic year 2025-26
The External Internships offer students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and tools acquired in the Master’s in Economics and Data Science for Business to real-world environments—whether in companies, public institutions, or research centers. These internships are designed to strengthen technical and analytical skills, particularly in the use of data for economic decision-making, business strategy, and operational improvement.
By working on real projects involving data processing, modeling, and interpretation, students gain practical experience that prepares them for professional roles in areas such as economic consulting, business analytics, data-driven policy evaluation, marketing intelligence, or financial forecasting.
The internship is also a key stepping stone toward entering the job market, offering a first contact with potential employers and allowing students to build a professional network in sectors where data-driven economic analysis is increasingly in demand.
