Competencies and objectives
Course context for academic year 2025-26
The thermography is a technology that captures and creates an image using the infrared radiation issued by the objects, designated thermal image or termograma. Therefore, a thermal camera is an instrumental that allows to visualise and/or register the temperature of the objects in the finder, assigning to each temperature a colour.
In the last years this technology has turn an accessible tool of diagnostic no destructive that allows numerous applications in the field of the edificación. Applications that allow the detection, among others, of thermal bridges, fault of thermal isolation, anomalies in the materials, failures in electrical installations, humidities or leaks of air (Kaplan, 2007; Lucchi, 2018). By what the cameras termográficas can incorporate like a tool to the hour to make audits, technical inspections or maintenance of the edificaciones and installations.
From his starts the International Agency of the Energy (AIE) promoted methods of calculation to predict the saving of energy and entered the thermography like tool of detection (ECBCS, 2014; Fracastoro & Lyberg, 1983). At the same time the European Union (EU) has developed a series of managerial whose aim is to reduce the energetic consumption of the edifices, the emissions of gases of effect invernadero and the demand of resources no renewable, promoting, besides, the realisation of energetic audits (CE, 2002; EU, 2010, 2012).
Therefore, the camera termográfica is one of the tools to use in this type of performances. The handle of the camera is simple, but have to take a series of considerations to the hour to make a termograma so that this was valid. Besides, the interpretation and the analysis of the same are very important to the hour to make a report that allow a correct performance (Bleated & Argiriou, 2002).
