Course context for academic year 2025-26

La Asignatura “Prácticas Externas II” se lleva a cabo mediante la realización de 500 horas de prácticas pre-profesionales en una organización, entidad u organismo externo, especializado en Cooperación al Desarrollo. Mediante esta asignatura se pretende proporcionar experiencia profesional sobre el terreno para trabajar como agentes de la cooperación al desarrollo, favoreciendo la movilidad del alumnado y la adquisición de conocimientos profesionales valiosos, tanto en ONGD u otras instituciones de España, como en organizaciones o entidades que trabajen en el ámbito internacional en otros países, por medio de ONGD e instituciones de distinta naturaleza.

El alumnado internacional, en principio, realizará las prácticas en sus países y regiones de origen, de forma que colabore al incremento de las capacidades del capital humano en este sector, favoreciendo la mejora de las condiciones de vida de las personas que se encuentran en las zonas de origen, al tiempo que contribuyen con la formación especializada, adquirida en sus estudios de Máster, a impulsar las sociedades y comunidades en los países implicados.

Conocimientos/Contenidos

  • CON03 : Know basic aspects of the empirical reality of the subject and target countries of development cooperation.
  • CON04 : Distinguish the key actors of the development cooperation system at national and international level, as well as the mechanisms they use.
  • CON06 : Understand basic aspects of transversal areas of cooperation such as: human rights, global health, gender perspective and environmental sustainability.
  • CON07 : To deepen, from a critical perspective, the operational strategies for intervention on the quality and effectiveness of development cooperation.
  • CON10 : Understand the international economic environment to identify viable development actions in global markets.
  • CON11 : Describe the principles, theories, methodologies and techniques of design, planning, management and evaluation of development interventions at the level of policies, plans, programmes and projects.
  • CON12 : Know basic aspects of social capital, networking and social and solidarity economy in order to promote entrepreneurial initiatives in developing societies.
  • CON13 : Know basic elements on global health, the causes of health inequalities and the situations of greater vulnerability in developing countries with respect to health.

 

Skills/Competences

  • COMP01 : Apply the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the course in any research or intervention work in the field of development cooperation.
  • COMP02 : Identify needs and successfully prioritise actions in the field of development cooperation.
  • COMP03 : Formulate and implement development policies and projects, in both public and private spheres, within the framework of the International Development Agenda, the SDGs and, with particular attention to their democratic values, including the empowerment of women (SDG 5), the inclusion of all people regardless of their origin, gender, race, disability, ethnicity, religion, economic situation or any other condition (SDG 10) and the achievement of inclusive cities and human settlements (SDG 11).
  • COMP04 : Select and apply at all stages the most appropriate research approach and design for the problem identified in the specific context of intervention.
  • COMP05 : Use advanced techniques to search for, organise, systematise, enhance and evaluate information in vulnerable and unstructured contexts in need of informed development policies.
  • COMP06 : Apply the Logical Framework Approach, as well as other existing methodologies, in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of development cooperation projects.
  • COMP07 : Ability to prepare a field trip (political, economic, social and cultural context), both in terms of intervention/research and security.
  • COMP08 : Analyse cooperation problems from a local and global perspective, taking the SDGs and their democratic values as a frame of reference.
  • COMP09 : Effectively insert oneself into regional, national and international cooperation strategies, leading and successfully implementing actions consistent with a model of sustainable human development. Incorporate in the design of development projects the tasks of strategic leadership and cohesion of working teams around common goals oriented towards a model of sustainable human development at any territorial level in accordance with the SDGs in general and SDGs 16 and 17 in particular.
  • COMP10 : Participate in public and private bodies (administrations, specialised agencies, NGDOs and civil society organisations, research institutes and universities, social economy organisations, etc.) at local, national and international level as professionals or researchers in the field of development cooperation. Integrate the management of multilevel and relational administrative governance in development projects with a territorial, democratic and global citizenship perspective in accordance with the SDGs in general and, especially, with SDGs 16 and 17.
  • CT01 : Contribute to the design, development and implementation of solutions that respond to social demands, taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • CT02 : Demonstrate critical and self-critical reasoning in the field of the degree, considering aspects such as professional ethics, moral values and the social implications of the different activities carried out.
  • CT03 : Collaborate effectively in work teams, assuming responsibilities and leadership roles and contributing to collective improvement and development.
  • CT04 : Act with autonomy in learning, making informed decisions in different contexts, making judgements based on experimentation and analysis and transferring knowledge to new situations.
