Course context for academic year 2025-26
Las prácticas tienen por objeto que el alumnado complete su formación como especialista en la enseñanza del español o del inglés como segundas lenguas/ lenguas extranjeras integrando lo aprendido, a través de las diferentes asignaturas en la observación crítica y asimilativa de la docencia en el centro en el que realice prácticas de enseñanza, en su actuación como docente en el aula, en el diseño de materiales o en la realización de tareas relacionadas con la investigación de las múltiples cuestiones que suscita la enseñanza del español y el inglés como segundas lenguas o lenguas extranjeras.
Dado que existe la posibilidad de que las prácticas se realicen en algunos centros de enseñanza (universidades e institutos) del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior con las que esté en vigor un convenio de cooperación al respecto, la asignatura promoverá la movilidad y posibilitará adquirir experiencia de primera mano sobre la enseñanza del español o del inglés como segundas lenguas/lenguas extranjeras en otro país; asimismo, permitirá al alumnado probar la relevancia y aplicabilidad de los conceptos, teorías, estrategias, etc., aprendidos y perfilar su proyecto para el Trabajo Fin de Máster.

Skills/Skills
- CG1 : Master theories, linguistic models and methodologies applicable to teaching second languages, as well as research methods and information search techniques that can be used as the basis for carrying out research work on the teaching of Spanish and/or English as second languages/foreign languages.
- CG3 : Ability to apply the knowledge acquired to planning and carrying out research work into teaching Spanish and/or English as second languages/foreign languages that clearly transmit their knowledge and the results of such research.
- CG4 : Ability to apply the knowledge acquired of Spanish and/or English as second languages/foreign languages to teaching.
- CG5 : Adopt a critical and self-critical attitude, involving self-assessment and self-correction, and intellectual curiosity that allows autonomous training and continuous updating of knowledge in the field of second languages/foreign languages teaching.
- CG6 : Ability to transmit in their professional activity (research or teaching) social and cultural values in accordance with today's multilingual and multicultural Europe.
Conocimientos/Contenidos
- CE02 : Understand linguistic models and theories dealing with the teaching and acquisition of second languages/foreign languages that act as the basis for research into the subject, as well as for soundly-based planning and assessment of the teaching of second languages/foreign languages.
- CE03 : Understand and value the opportunities offered by Information and Communication Technologies as tools for research and self-learning, as well as for developing the teaching/learning process of second languages/foreign languages.
- CE04 : Knowledge of linguistic aspects of Spanish and/or English, at the different levels and communicative skills, relevant from the point of view of research and teaching, as well as lines and methods of research specific to these subjects.
- CE05 : Understand the role of Spanish and/or English literature and culture as an instrument for the development of communicative competence in the language, as well as the lines and possibilities of research in this field.
- CE06 : Know and understand the specialised bibliography, terminology and conceptual tools that can serve as a basis for teaching planning and research, both in terms of aspects common to second/foreign language teaching and in terms of their application to Spanish and/or English.
- CG2 : Understand the specific problems related to the linguistic peculiarities presented by Spanish and/or English as regards teaching as a second language/foreign language at different levels and abilities, as well as necessary literary and cultural aspects relevant to integrating literature and culture into the Spanish/English L2/FL classroom.
- CT2 : To develop a critical understanding of the complexity of socio-environmental challenges and problems, including the roots of gender inequalities, situations of discrimination and social exclusion, threats to peace and the achievement of human rights, as well as environmental challenges.
Skills/Competences
- CE13 : To apply the knowledge acquired in the planning and development of teaching programmes that will be implemented in the Master's degree internships, as well as to the analysis of teaching actions and contexts.
- CE14 : Maintain a flexible and critical attitude to the many theories, trends and methodologies used in research into teaching second languages (Spanish and/or English).
- CE15 : Ability to update and develop independently the knowledge related to teaching Spanish and/or English as L2/FL.
- CE16 : Show the capacity for collaboration, commitment and responsibility on the individual and joint tasks required for training as a future teacher and researcher in English/Spanish.
- CE17 : Show a positive attitude to multilingualism and multiculturalism in modern Europe on the basis of teaching English/Spanish.
