Transversal Competences

  • CT01 : Use the foreign language fluently to access information, respond to the needs of society and be self-sufficient in the preparation of their professional life.
  • CT03 : Comunicar de forma oral y escrita transmitiendo información, ideas, problemas y soluciones a un público tanto especializado como no especializado.

 

General Competences

  • CG05 : Ability to carry out activities of design, technical management, expertise, drafting of reports, opinions, and technical advice in tasks related to Aeronautical Technical Engineering, exercise of genuinely aerospace technical functions and positions.

 

Basic Competences

  • CB3 : That students have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (usually within their area of study) in order to make judgements that include reflection on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.
  • CB4 : Students should be able to transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.

Learning outcomes (Training objectives)

  • Acquire a level of oral and written proficiency in English B2 according to the Common European Framework.
  • Interpret oral and written scientific-technical texts in English accurately and critically.
  • Use English expressions accurately to locate objects in space and to describe movement, action and direction.
  • Construct a linguistic-mathematical environment that generates communicative interactions in English in the area of engineering.
  • Distinguish between different types of graphs and explore in English orally and in writing their usefulness in a technical description.
  • Illustrate the content of a written text in English of a scientific-technical nature using graphs to demonstrate written comprehension.
  • Communicate orally in English on technical and informative subjects and adapt the expressions of scientific or informative discourse to the presentation.
  • Find and apply ways to solve linguistic problems with initiative, creativity and autonomy.
  • Demonstrate the viability of working in a multidisciplinary group in a multilingual environment.
  • Reinforce the conviction that the techniques used to understand the information and knowledge obtained through the "English" subject are the tools used to solve problems, research, communicate, summarise, etc.
