Course context for academic year 2025-26

Las asignaturas de Patología General I y II constituyen el primer acercamiento formal del estudiante de Medicina al estudio de los mecanismos generales de la enfermedad y representan un eje fundamental en la transición desde las ciencias básicas a las ciencias clínicas. A través de estas materias se sientan las bases fisiopatológicas que permitirán comprender la aparición, evolución y manifestaciones de las distintas patologías, facilitando así la integración de los conocimientos adquiridos en cursos previos (como anatomía, fisiología o bioquímica) con la práctica médica posterior.

Patología General II se continúa profundizando en la fisiopatología de los principales sistemas orgánicos, sirviendo de puente hacia las asignaturas clínicas específicas del plan de estudios.

Están asignaturas están diseñadas para proporcionar al estudiante las competencias necesarias para identificar los mecanismos etiopatogénicos comunes a múltiples enfermedades, comprender sus manifestaciones clínicas iniciales, y desarrollar un razonamiento diagnóstico sólido desde una perspectiva integradora.

El enfoque docente combinará clases teóricas con actividades prácticas y recursos de apoyo online, fomentando el aprendizaje activo, el pensamiento crítico y el desarrollo de habilidades clínicas tempranas. Se recomienda al alumno la participación en todas las actividades propuestas, el uso regular del campus virtual y el seguimiento de la bibliografía recomendada. La adquisición de estos conocimientos será esencial para afrontar con éxito las asignaturas clínicas y para el ejercicio profesional de la medicina basada en la comprensión del proceso patológico.

Specific competences:>>Module III: Human clinical training

  • CE3.26 : Knowing how to make a complete anamnesis, centered on the patient and oriented to the various pathologies, interpreting their meaning.
  • CE3.27 : Knowing how to perform a physical examination of the different bodily apparatuses and systems, as well as a psychopathological examination, interpreting their meaning.
  • CE3.28 : Knowing how to assess changes in clinical parameters at different ages.
  • CE3.30 : Design and apply an action plan, focused on the needs of the patient and the family and social environment, consistent with the symptoms and signs of the patient.

  • CE4.01 : Assess the risk/benefit ratio of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • CE4.17 : Know the main indications of electrophysiological techniques (ECG, EEG, EMG and others).
  • CE4.24 : Know how to interpret the results of diagnostic laboratory tests.
