La práctica médica efectiva y centrada en las personas requiere una sinergia entre la comprensión del método científico y la habilidad para establecer una relación de ayuda sólida con los pacientes. La investigación en ciencias de la salud proporciona las bases para la toma de decisiones clínicas informadas, mientras que la comunicación efectiva y las habilidades de entrevista clínica permiten recopilar información precisa, brindar información clara a los pacientes y negociar con ellos en los procesos de toma de decisiones compartidas.

Al combinar estos aspectos, las médicas y los médicos pueden ofrecer un enfoque holístico que no solo se basa en la evidencia, sino que también considera las necesidades y preferencias individuales de cada paciente. Esta integración fortalece la relación profesional-paciente y promueve resultados de salud óptimos. Algunas de las ventajas clave de esta aproximación incluyen la recopilación de información precisa para un diagnóstico certero, brindar información clara sobre el pronóstico y el tratamiento, la promoción de la adherencia terapéutica y la toma de decisiones compartidas.

Al integrar estos aspectos, los y las profesionales de la medicina pueden ofrecer una atención de calidad que combine la excelencia científica con la humanidad y la empatía necesarias para brindar un cuidado integral y personalizado.

Los materiales prácticos de la asignatura y los ejemplos de estudios de investigación versarán sobre pregunta de investigación relacionadas con la relación de ayuda. De este modo, de modo patente, se integrarán los contenidos de las dos partes que componen la materia

Knowing how to approach professional practice respecting the autonomy of the patient, her beliefs and culture.
  • CE2.06 : Know, critically assess and know how to use the technologies and sources of clinical and biomedical information, to obtain, organize, interpret and communicate clinical, scientific and health information.
