- Improving students’ listening and reading comprehension skills
- Enhancing the width of vocabulary available to students
- Taking advantage of learning English structures within real contexts
- Exposing students both to different English accents and to other “Englishes”
- Encouraging debate and active reflection and interaction in English
- Allowing participants to lose the fear to speak in English by stimulating conversation and exchange of opinions
- Organising all sorts of fun activities revolving around the materials supplied to participants
- Preparing the material so that students can not only work with it in the class but also continue to revise it after the class (by means of UADrive, Moodle…)
- Increasing students’ familiarity with a variety of media that can help them keep their English “fit” and largely enhance their linguistic skills.
