Course context for academic year 2024-25

La asignatura “Interfase electrificada y equilibrio electroquímico” se enmarca en el módulo Fundamental del plan de estudios del máster, que permite fijar y nivelar a los distintos alumnos, independientemente de su procedencia (obviamente que accedan desde el área de las ciencias experimentales). Es necesario enfatizar que la presencia de contenidos de “Electroquímica” en los actuales títulos de grado es prácticamente inexistente. Esta asignatura, con 3 créditos ECTS, plantea los fundamentos termodinámicos de la Electroquímica.

Learning outcomes (Training objectives)

  • Entendimiento de la nomenclatura y convenios propios de la Electroquímica.
  • Capacidad de calcular diferencias de potencial de pilas electroquímicas en equilibrio, diferencias de potencial de membrana y diferencias de potencial de unión líquida, en relación con las variables que definen el estado del sistema.
  • Entender los conceptos de la termodinámica de la doble capa.
  • Conocimiento con detalle de los modelos que describen la doble capa electroquímica y las técnicas que permiten medir propiedades interfaciales.
