Course context for academic year 2024-25

En este curso aprenderás los principios económicos. Cada tema se inicia con un hecho histórico, una observación, una experiencia o una preocupación que nos servirá para derivar el razonamiento económico y los modelos que ayuden a entenderlos y explicarlos. Esta estrategia requiere que los modelos incorporen desde el principio complejidades del mundo real, en el que la información es incompleta, las personas están a veces motivadas por objetivos distintos al puro interés personal y los agentes económicos se comportan de manera estratégica.

El curso se enfoca principalmente en el desarrollo del razonamiento económico y la adquisición de habilidades que te permitirán comprender y analizar temas económicos actuales. Para lograr este objetivo, utilizaremos diversos recursos, como la búsqueda y análisis de datos, videos, lecturas, podcasts, debates y experimentos. Estos recursos te brindarán una perspectiva integral y enriquecedora.

Nuestro enfoque se centra en proporcionarte las herramientas necesarias para entender y analizar los aspectos económicos de manera efectiva. Al finalizar el curso, estarás capacitado para abordar y resolver problemas económicos de forma crítica y fundamentada, aplicando tus conocimientos en diversas situaciones del mundo real.

  • CE12 : Be able to use the appropriate tools for the analysis, diagnosis and solution of economic questions and problems.
  • CE2 : Identify and anticipate relevant economic problems relating to resource allocation in general, in both the private and public context.
  • CE3 : Bring a rational approach to the analysis and description of any aspect of economic reality.
  • CE4 : Evaluate the consequences of different options for action and select the best one according to the objectives set.
  • CE9 : Understand economic institutions as the result and application of theoretical or formal representations of how the economy works.

  • Use analytical reasonings to pose economic problems and resolve them.
  • Comprise the paper of the prices in the economy and the determination of these in the distinct types of markets.
  • Comprise the basic principles of the market through the analysis of the offer and the demand.
  • See the relation between competitive markets and efficiency.
  • Enter the problematic of the open economies in his commercial and financial relations with other countries.
