Course context for academic year 2024-25
La asignatura de presas se encuadra en el segundo cuatrimestre de 4º curso de los estudios de Grado de Ingeniería Civil.
Su finalidad es habilitar y capacitar a los estudiantes en las técnicas de planificación, proyecto, construcción y explotación de presas y embalses.
La asignatura se desarrolla mediante clases teóricas, clases prácticas, muestras de presas y embalses con material infográfico, trípticos y documentación digital, y visitas académicas a presas (si fuese posible). También comprenderá la introducción de aplicaciones informáticas específicas de la materia.
Para la comprensión de la asignatura es fundamental una sólida formación previa en Hidráulica, Hidrología, Materiales de Construcción, Mecánica de Suelos, Resistencia de Materiales y Cálculo de Estructuras.

- CEH1 : Knowledge and ability to plan and size hydraulic works and installations, for industrial water production, energy systems, hydroelectric plants and management of surface and underground water resources.
