Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2024-25
The Fundamentals of Mathematics in Engineering II subject aims at introducing the basic technics and concepts of Real Multivariable Differential Calculus. It is focused on an eminently practical perspective, exploring the use and applications of the topic. Moreover, we will study an introduction of Vectorial Analysis and Differential Geometry of plane curves.
The knowledge of this topic will improve the understanding of other subjects in the Civil Engineering Degree, and will enable the study of more advanced mathematics in the future. Besides, studying mathematics contributes to the development of the scientific methodology, which is based in logical deduction.
