La asignatura Psicología Médica constituye una de las materias de Formación Básica del Grado en Medicina de la Universidad de Alicante. El estudio de sus contenidos permitirá al alumnado adquirir los conocimientos necesarios para comprender el comportamiento humano normal y patológico, así como los procesos psicológicos básicos y su psicopatología. A lo largo del desarrollo de la asignatura, el estudiantado conocerá los principios psicológicos que modulan el proceso de salud y enfermedad, así como los modelos teóricos sobre los que se basan las intervenciones dirigidas a la promoción de la salud, la adherencia al tratamiento y la prevención de la enfermedad. Además, el alumnado adquirirá conocimientos sobre el desarrollo cognitivo, emocional y de personalidad de los individuos en cada una de las etapas del ciclo vital, así como su relación con los procesos de salud y enfermedad. Asimismo, a lo largo del estudio de la asignatura, los y las estudiantes conocerán los principios básicos de los modelos de psicoterapia actuales, así como los aspectos clave de la relación médico-paciente y la importancia del autocuidado y la gestión del estrés en los profesionales de la medicina.

Learning outcomes (Training objectives)
