Course context for academic year 2024-25

A lo largo de las diferentes asignaturas que forman parte del grado en Matemáticas es habitual el uso de herramientas informáticas, principalmente enfocadas a: cálculo numérico o simbólico, análisis estadístico o elaboración de documentos científicos. Algunas de estas herramientas han sido introducidas en la asignatura Laboratorio de Matemáticas I.

Esta asignatura pretende profundizar en los contenidos de Laboratorio de Matemáticas I, ampliando las herramientas y los recursos que ofrecen los programas introducidos anteriormente. Se desarrollarán las competencias necesarias para utilizar estas herramientas de manera eficiente, permitiendo a los estudiantes abordar problemas matemáticos complejos con mayor precisión y creatividad.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE1 : Understand and use mathematical language. Acquire the capacity to enunciate propositions in different fields of Mathematics, to construct demonstrations and transmit the mathematical knowledge acquired.
  • CE10 : Communicate, both orally and in writing, mathematical knowledge, procedures, results and ideas.
  • CE5 : Propose, analyse, validate and interpret models of simple real-life situations, using the most appropriate mathematical tools for the purpose.
  • CE7 : Use computer applications for statistical analysis, numerical calculus and symbolic calculus, graphic visualisation and others to experiment in Mathematics and solve problems.
  • CE8 : Develop programmes that solve mathematical problems using the appropriate computational environment for each particular case.
  • CE9 : Use bibliographic search tools for Mathematics.

 

Specific Generic UA Competences

  • CGUA1 : Understand scientific English.
  • CGUA2 : Possess computer skills relevant to the field of study.
  • CGUA3 : Acquire or possess basic Information and Communications Technology skills and correctly manage the information gathered.

Learning outcomes (Training objectives)

Saber aplicar los fundamentos de los programas de cálculo científico introducidos en Laboratorio de Matemáticas I.

Saber utilizar dichos programas como apoyo a la resolución de algunos problemas matemáticos sencillos.

Saber realizar gráficos en el plano y en el espacio para las asignaturas de análisis, estadística y geometría.

Ser capaz de resolver ecuaciones y sistemas, calcular integrales y derivadas en forma simbólica.

Ser capaz de realizar un análisis razonado a partir de gráficos de datos y de esbozos de gráficas de funciones.

Ser capaz de abordar un problema buscando el programa adecuado, sabiendo discernir qué parte del problema es posible resolver y cuál necesita herramientas más sofisticadas, o una teoría más desarrollada.
