Course context for academic year 2024-25

The growing need to improve training in the hotel sector, leads to try to offer from the university valid and effective solutions to improve the training of hospitality professionals. Specifically, it is necessary to value and improve the qualification of professionals in the areas of housekeeping, offering a practical solution that allows an improvement in the skills of people who want to orient themselves towards this profession.

The course is especially aimed at:

  • Professionals in active employment who wish to improve their knowledge in housekeeping and intend to promote internally within their companies.
  • Unemployed people with previous experience in the accommodation sector who wish to improve their knowledge and specialization on the subject, thus expanding their job opportunities.
  • University graduates and vocational training graduates who wish to specialize in this field.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2024-25

The objective of the course is to train qualified professionals in the area of management and coordination of the work performed by cleaning and maintenance personnel in rooms, reception and common areas of hotels, residences and apartments, as well as linen and laundry services.

The aim is to provide a broad, practical, specialized and updated vision of the main aspects related to the management and coordination of activities in accommodation. More specifically, the program aims to provide a solid results-oriented training in the field of cleaning and maintenance of accommodations, with emphasis on the management of work teams, knowledge of maintenance and cleaning techniques in rooms and common areas, quality management, customer service and development of management skills.
