Esta asignatura pertenece a la especialidad o itinerario de Tecnologías de la Información y guarda relación con las distintas asignaturas de administración de sistemas y redes de computadores, principalmente, con las asignaturas "Sistemas Operativos", "Redes de Computadores", "Gestión e Implantación de Redes de Computadores", "Sistemas Distribuidos" y "Administración de Sistemas Operativos y Redes de Computadores".
