Course context for academic year 2023-24

La asignatura de sistemas embebidos se encaja en el itinerario de Ingeniería de Computadores. Esta materia viene a complementar el estudio de los computadores de propósito general con el aprendizaje de sistemas de computación orientados a la resolución de problemas específicos. Los sistemas embebidos están presentes en muchos ámbitos y forman parte del mundo digital en el que nos encontramos: sistemas de comunicaciones, industria, instrumentación científica, dispositivos de consumo, automoción, etc. Su conocimiento aporta por tanto capacidades fundamentales al ingeniero en informática para el desempeño de su labor profesional en el área.

Specific Competences (Specific Technology):>>Computer Engineering

  • CEIC1 : Capacity to design and build digital systems, including computers, microprocessor-based systems and communications systems.
  • CEIC2 : Capacity to develop specific processors and embedded systems, as well as develop and optimise the software for said systems.
  • CEIC5 : Capacity to analyse, evaluate and select the correct hardware and software platforms to support embedded and real time applications.
  • CEIC7 : Capacity to analyse, evaluate, select and configure hardware platforms to develop computer applications and services.

 

Basic Competences

  • CB3 : Students must be able to gather and interpret relevant data (usually within their area of study) in order to make judgements that include reflection on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2023-24

Aprender a desarrollar y a construir sistemas digitales para resolver problemas industriales y de comunicaciones. Adquirir la capacidad de diseñar procesadores específicos y sistemas embebidos así como desarrollar el software para dichos sistemas. Aprender a analizar, evaluar y seleccionar las plataformas hardware y software más adecuadas para el soporte de aplicaciones embebidas y de tiempo real.
