Learning outcomes (Training objectives)

The aim of this programme is for students to be able to:


- Recognise histological alterations due to injury, inflammation, adaptation, cell death and growth and identify their aetiopathogenic mechanisms.

-Describe the macro/microscopic characteristics of benign vs. malignant lesions in each organ.

- Describe and know the main biomarkers and molecular techniques and their application in histopathological differential diagnosis and/or prognosis and/or therapeutic procedure.

- Be able to integrate the clinicopathological data for the final diagnosis.

- Know how to carry out a critical assessment and application of new biomedical information technologies that allow for an in-depth study of certain aspects, in addition to teaching and communicating the morphological and molecular knowledge acquired to other professionals.
