Course context for academic year 2023-24
En el actual plan de estudios, antes de cursar esta asignatura, el alumno ha tenido oportunidad de aprender las principales características de la atención a la salud en las diferentes etapas del ciclo vital y, específicamente, durante la infancia, la maternidad y la crianza. Esta asignatura obligatoria, del tercer curso del Grado de Enfermería, tiene como objeto de trabajo el estudio de los cuidados de la salud relacionados con la infancia y la maternidad, especialmente en los procesos patológicos. Mediante clases teóricas/prácticas y el trabajo tutorizado individual se pretende que el estudiante incorpore los conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes necesarias para la identificación y planificación de los cuidados de enfermería específicos e individualizados; en situaciones de pérdida de salud durante la infancia, la gestación, el parto y el posparto; así como los cuidados vinculados a los problemas en la función reproductiva humana.

- 5 : Understand and evaluate the nutritional needs of healthy individuals and those with health problems throughout their life cycle, to promote and reinforce healthy eating habits.
- 9 : Understand physiopathological processes and their manifestations and the risk factors that determine health and/or illness at different stages of the life cycle.

- 29 : Identify the caring needs derived from health problems.
- 34 : Identify the characteristics of women at different stages in their reproductive cycles and during the menopause and any alterations that may appear, providing the care required at each stage.
- 36 : Understand the specific aspects of neonatal care.
- 38 : Understand the most frequent health problems in infancy and identify how they manifest themselves.
- 39 : Analyse child assessment data, identifying nursing problems and any complications that may arise.
- 41 : Select interventions aimed at healthy and sick children, as well as those derived from diagnosis and treatment methods.
